Our Amazon EC2 wishlist

There are a couple features on EC2 that we would love to see implemented.

Ability to link to the AWS console pages for each AMI.

We would like to have a link to “Run this image” from our image details page (ie. http://thecloudmarket.com/image/ami-e40f2790 ) that would take the user to the aws console page where he enters all the info before launching (number of images to run, keypar,…).
It’d be very helpful for image providers too, so they can have the same sort of link on their websites.

Ability to get the offeringCodes from the productCodes.

We can see all the images that are associated to a product from the EC2 API but there’s no way to get to the product page with just that information, you need to search in google to figure out what the “buy this image” link is (the one like https://aws-portal.amazon.com/gp/aws/user/subscription/index.html?offeringCode=xxxxxx).

With the offering codes we can provide “Proceed to buy” links in the image details pages, for instance for the Amazon DevPay example.
